FIRE IN THE SKY
Skies over Whittier threatened us with what seemed like an impending downpour, but it never materialized (at least in our neck of the woods). As the sun was setting, the massive bank of clouds provided an ample backdrop for the shifting colors that came about. All while they hovered above our hills. This was taken at its peak where the sun was giving its last hurrah before it dipped below the horizon. A moment later these hues of orange and yellow turned all gray. I felt fortunate to watch it all unfold. In the coming week we are bracing ourselves for the predicted rainfall that evaded us on Saturday.
p.s. I was gifted a new camera last month which promises an exciting venture into another level of imagery.
