Repairing Historic Wooden Windows

Windows, a character-defining feature of historic buildings, are often the first architectural element someone notices when a building is seen from a distance. Original wood windows are said to be one of the four most enchanting elements of architecture, including: staircases, period doors and door hardware, and molding and millwork.

Window restoration and repair is a two-part process: the operation of the window and its structural integrity. During this Whittier Historic Neighborhood Association informational seminar, Norm from Window Restoration and Repair will discuss the best practices of window repair and maintenance.

Window Restoration and Repair is known for helping the homeowner sort through the issues of restoration through to completion, preserving the beauty, architectural integrity, and charm of a home.
